Idle MU · Season 6 Episode 3

Best MU Online servers: how to choose

The best MU Online server is the one that fits the way you play. Before you pick one, check the season, the experience rate, whether it is pay-to-win, the reset rules, the events, uptime, the community and how you play.

There is no single best MU server for everyone: the best one is the one that fits the way you play. Check these eight points on any server before you put hours into a character.

What to look at in a MU server

  1. Season. Older seasons (up to Season 6) have the classic look and pace; newer ones bring more classes and systems.
  2. Experience rate. A low rate means a long journey; a high rate means a strong character fast and more resets.
  3. Pay-to-win. Look at what the store sells. If it sells items, jewels, levels or resets, whoever pays wins.
  4. Reset. At what level you reset, what you get and whether there is a cap.
  5. Events. Which ones exist, whether they run on their own and at what time in your time zone.
  6. Uptime. How long the server has been online and whether it shows its status live.
  7. Community. An active Discord, a site in your language and a live ranking.
  8. How you play. A client to download and install, or a game that opens right in the browser; with or without auto farm.

Frequently asked questions

Which season should I pick?

It depends on what you are after. Season 6 is the most common version among private servers, with level 400, Master Level and the traditional events.

How do I know if a server is pay-to-win?

Open the store. If it sells items, jewels, levels or ready-made resets, it is pay-to-win. VIP and timed boosts do not hand out gear.

Can I try Idle MU without downloading anything?

Yes. The game opens in the browser; the first time it downloads about 80 MB, kept by the browser itself.

Is this the official MU Online?

No. Idle MU is an independent server, with no ties to Webzen, the owner of the MU Online brand.
