Blood Castle in MU Online: complete guide
Blood Castle in MU Online step by step: level range of each castle, how to make the Cloak, how to win and what the event pays in jewels and EXP.
Blood Castle is MU's party event: up to 10 players per castle cross the bridge, break the gate, smash the statue and bring the weapon back to the Archangel. A match lasts 20 minutes and opens every 3 hours, on the hour. The exact time in your time zone is on the events page.
Which castle is yours
The castle depends on your character's level. Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord have their own range.
| castle | Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, Fairy Elf | Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Castle 1 | 15 to 80 | 10 to 60 |
| Blood Castle 2 | 81 to 130 | 61 to 110 |
| Blood Castle 3 | 131 to 180 | 111 to 160 |
| Blood Castle 4 | 181 to 230 | 161 to 210 |
| Blood Castle 5 | 231 to 280 | 211 to 260 |
| Blood Castle 6 | 281 to 330 | 261 to 310 |
| Blood Castle 7 | 331 to 400 | 311 to 400 |
| Blood Castle 8 | 331 to 400, third class only | any level, third class only |
Blood Castle 8 requires the third class: Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf, Duel Master or Lord Emperor.
The ticket: Cloak of Invisibility
- Hunt a Scroll of Archangel and a Blood Bone of the same level as the castle. Both pieces drop from monsters, at 1% each, and no NPC sells them.
- Take both pieces and one Jewel of Chaos to the Chaos Goblin, in Noria 180,103.
- The combination succeeds 80% of the time and gives you the Cloak of Invisibility of that level.
The piece's level follows the level of the monster that dropped it:
| piece | monster level |
|---|---|
| +1 | 2 to 31 |
| +2 | 32 to 44 |
| +3 | 45 to 56 |
| +4 | 57 to 67 |
| +5 | 68 to 75 |
| +6 | 76 to 83 |
| +7 | 84 to 94 |
| +8 | 95 and up |
The Cloak's level must match the castle for your range: a +3 Cloak only opens Blood Castle 3. The ticket is used up when you enter.
How to enter
Talk to the Archangel Messenger, in Devias 217,29, with the Cloak in your inventory. Get there before the hour: the entrance stays open for only 1 minute after the event opens.
Your active buffs are removed when you enter. Buff again inside.
How the match works
- The bridge. Kill the monsters in the first area until the bridge to the castle opens.
- The gate. Break the Castle Gate. Whoever breaks it gets bonus experience; party members who already died get half of it.
- The statue. Stronger monsters wait behind the gate. After them, the Statue of Saint appears. Breaking it announces the name of whoever broke it to the whole map and drops the Archangel's weapon.
- The delivery. Whoever picks up the weapon has to carry it to the Archangel, at the castle altar. Delivering it ends the event and decides the winner.
Whoever dies carrying the weapon drops it on the ground, and the race starts over. If nobody delivers it before the 20 minutes run out, nobody wins.
What you get
- Experience for every second left: the sooner the weapon reaches the altar, the more EXP for everyone.
- Zen: the winning party gets double.
- Jewels:
| castle | jewel | who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Castle 1 to 6 | 1 guaranteed Jewel of Bless or Jewel of Chaos | whoever delivers to the Archangel, and their party |
| Blood Castle 7 and 8 | 1 guaranteed Jewel of Soul or Jewel of Bless, plus a 60% chance of Chaos, Creation or Life | the guaranteed one goes to the whole party; the 60% one only to whoever delivered |
Finishing Blood Castle is one of the few sources of Jewel of Creation. See them all in jewels and economy.
Tips
- Go in as a party. The reward goes to the deliverer's party, and the winning party gets double zen.
- Agree on who carries the weapon. The toughest character takes the weapon; the rest clear the way to the altar.
- Leave inventory space. The reward goes to your inventory; if it's full, it drops on the ground. After the end you have only 1 minute before you're taken out.
- Keep the pieces that drop. With a pair ready and a Jewel of Chaos saved, you won't miss the next run.
- Between events, play with Idle. The ticket pieces drop from monsters, and Idle hunts on its own while you wait for the next opening.
