How to make wings in MU Online
How to make wings in MU Online: 1st, 2nd and 3rd level wings for each class, the Cape of Lord and what to bring to the Chaos Machine in Noria.
Wings don't drop from monsters: they come out of the Chaos Machine. Each wing level uses the previous level's wing as an ingredient, so the path is always 1st → 2nd → 3rd.
What wings give you
- More damage dealt and less damage taken. The higher the wing level, the bigger the gain.
- Defense, like any piece of equipment.
- Access to Icarus. The map only lets in characters that can fly: with wings or a Dinorant.

3rd level wings can only be worn by characters with the third class: Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf, Duel Master or Lord Emperor. See Master Level.
The mix picks the wing at random. Each recipe gives you any wing of that level, not necessarily the one for your class. One you can't use still works for another character on the account, or as a trade.
Where the Chaos Machine is
Talk to the Chaos Goblin in Noria 180,103. Put the items in the mix window and confirm.
1st level wings
- A Chaos weapon +4 or higher, with an additional option: Chaos Dragon Axe, Chaos Lightning Staff or Chaos Nature Bow.
- 1 Jewel of Chaos.
- Optional: other items +4 or higher with an additional option, plus Jewel of Bless and Jewel of Soul, to improve the odds.
The Chaos weapon also comes out of the Chaos Machine: Jewel of Chaos plus items +4 or higher with an additional option.
If it fails, the Chaos weapon comes back at a lower level and everything else is lost.
2nd level wings
- A 1st level wing, at any level.
- 1 Loch's Feather.
- 1 Jewel of Chaos.
- 5,000,000 zen.
- Optional: excellent items +4 or higher, to improve the odds.
Loch's Feather drops in Icarus, from monsters level 82 and up. To enter Icarus you already need 1st level wings or a Dinorant.
If it fails, the 1st level wing is lost.
Cape of Lord (Dark Lord)
The Dark Lord doesn't wear 1st level wings, but needs one to make the cape. The recipe is the same as the 2nd level wings, with a Crest of Monarch instead of the Loch's Feather. The Crest of Monarch is the Loch's Feather +1 and also drops in Icarus. This mix always gives the Cape of Lord.
3rd level wings
It takes two mixes.
First: Feather of Condor
- A 2nd level wing or Cape of Lord, +9 or higher, with an additional option.
- An ancient item +7 or higher, with an additional option.
- 1 Jewel of Chaos, 1 Jewel of Creation and 1 Packed Jewel of Soul (10 Souls bundled).
The result is the Feather of Condor.
Second: the wing
- The Feather of Condor.
- 1 Flame of Condor.
- An excellent item +9 or higher, with an additional option.
- 1 Jewel of Chaos, 1 Jewel of Creation, 1 Packed Jewel of Soul and 1 Packed Jewel of Bless.
Flame of Condor drops in Barracks of Balgass. You get in through the Werewolf Quarrel in Crywolf, during Priest Devin's third class quests.
If the first mix fails, the wing and the ancient item drop 2 or 3 levels and lose the additional option, and the jewels are lost. If the second fails, the excellent item is downgraded the same way, and the Feather of Condor, the Flame of Condor and the jewels are lost.
Lahap, in Devias 193,13, bundles 10 jewels into a pack: that's how you make the Packed Jewel of Soul and the Packed Jewel of Bless.
Tips
- Save your Jewels of Chaos: every wing uses one, and they only drop from monsters up to level 66. See jewels and economy.
- Jewel of Creation is the rarest jewel: stock up from Chaos Castle, Devil Square and Blood Castle before going for 3rd level wings.
- In Icarus, leave Idle hunting with Pick up items by name and the text "Feather" (VIP): it picks up the Loch's Feather without filling your inventory.
