Idle: the auto farm
How to turn Idle on, what each tab does, what is free and what is VIP, and how to farm with the tab minimized.
Idle makes your character hunt on its own: attack, drink potions and pick up what drops. You pick the spot, turn it on, and you can minimize the tab.
How to turn it on
- Take your character to a hunting spot. Idle won't turn on in town, and the window tells you so: "In town. Go out to hunt."
- Press Z or Home to open the IDLE window. The settings button next to your position, at the top of the screen, opens the same window.
- Check the attack skill and the potion.
- Click TURN ON. The window now shows "On. The character attacks, picks up and…" and the button becomes TURN OFF.
To stop, open the window again and click TURN OFF. The play/pause button at the top of the screen does the same without opening the window.
The Combat tab
| Block | What it does | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Attack skill | The − and + buttons switch between the skills your character has already learned, plus "Basic attack". With the On box unchecked, the character doesn't attack and doesn't fight back. | Everyone |
| Buff | Picks a learned buff for the character to keep active. Buff the party extends the buff to party members who are nearby. | VIP |
| Movement | Patrol looking for monsters makes the character walk after a target when there is none nearby. Stay where you turned it on only attacks what comes to it. | VIP |
Without VIP, the character stays where you turned Idle on: pick a spot where monsters spawn all around you. See where to farm at each level range.
The Potions tab
Each potion has a checkbox to turn it on and a slider that goes from 10% to 90%. When your HP, mana or SD (shield) drops below the slider value, the character drinks the biggest potion of that type in the inventory.
| Potion | Who gets it |
|---|---|
| Health potion | Everyone |
| Mana potion | VIP |
| SD potion | VIP |
| Antidote, used automatically when the character is poisoned | VIP |
Idle doesn't buy potions. Bring enough stock for the time you plan to be away.
The Pickup tab
| Option | What it picks up | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Zen | Only the money | Everyone |
| Pick up everything | Everything that drops, until the inventory is full | Everyone |
| Jewels | Only jewels | VIP |
| Excellent and ancient | Only excellent and ancient items | VIP |
| Pick up items by name | A list of your own: type part of the name, click + and Idle starts picking up items that have that text in their name | VIP |
Without VIP you have three settings: pick up everything, pick up only zen, or pick up nothing. VIP adds choosing which items.
Farming with the tab minimized
With Idle on, you can switch tabs, minimize the browser or leave the window behind other windows. The character keeps hunting.
The farm lasts as long as the tab exists. If you close the tab, close the browser, or the computer shuts down or goes to sleep, the character stops.
Idle costs zen
Idle charges zen while it is on. The status line shows the current charge and the total spent since you turned it on.
Before you leave it farming
- Potions: fill your inventory with the biggest potion your character can use.
- Space: with "Pick up everything", the inventory fills up. Without VIP, consider picking up only zen.
- Spot: without patrol, stay at a point where monsters spawn around you.
- The right monster: pick a monster that dies fast over one that kills your character.
- Computer: turn off automatic sleep.
If something goes wrong
- The window doesn't open: click on the game first, so the keyboard is focused on it, and press Z again.
- "In town. Go out to hunt.": Idle only turns on outside safe zones.
- The character doesn't attack: check that the On box in the attack block is checked and that the chosen skill has the mana and the equipment it requires.
- An option is grayed out with a VIP badge: it is part of VIP.
- I came back and my character was in town: it died. Bring more potions or pick a weaker monster.
