Master Level in MU Online

Master Level in MU Online Season 6: third class at level 400, 200 master levels, points in the skill tree and what a reset keeps.

Master Level starts where the normal level ends. At level 400, with the third class, experience starts filling a second bar: the master bar. There are 200 Master levels, and each one gives a point for the skill tree.

Who gets Master Level

Two conditions, at the same time:

  • Level 400.
  • Third class: Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf, Duel Master or Lord Emperor.

At level 400 without the third class, experience stops. Do the quests before you get there.

The third class

The quests come from Priest Devin, in Devias 181,35, and start at level 380.

Infiltrate The Barracks of Balgass400
Into the 'Darkness' Zone400

The last one, Into the 'Darkness' Zone, changes your class.

  • The entrance to the Barracks of Balgass is through the Werewolf Quarrel in Crywolf, and costs 3 million zen. It only opens with one of the last two quests active.
  • Party members near you go in with you.
  • Inside the Barracks, the Gatekeeper takes you to the Balgass Refuge, where the last quest ends.

Master experience

  • It comes from monsters level 95 and up. A monster below that gives nothing to the master bar.
  • It works solo and in a party.
  • VIP gives 20% more on Master experience too.

Maps with monsters in that range:

MapMonster levels
Vulcanus90 to 124: almost all count
Karutan 2105 to 120
LaCleon102 to 148
Swamp Of Calmness95 to 137

Idle farms Master the same way it farms levels: leave your character on one of these maps and it fills the bar on its own. Master Level is the long part of the game.

Master points and the tree

Each Master level gives 1 point. Press A to open the skill tree.

  • The tree has three columns, and each column has five rows.
  • Each skill takes up to 20 points. Some stop at 10.
  • To open a row, you need 10 points in a skill from the row above, in the same column.
  • Some skills also require a specific skill from the previous row.

With 200 points in total, you can't take everything. Pick a column and max it out before opening another.

A Master skill improves a skill you already use or gives flat bonuses, like more defense or more damage. See each class's skills in the skills guide.

Reset doesn't erase Master

A reset sends your character to level 1, but doesn't touch Master Level. You keep:

  • your Master level;
  • unspent Master points;
  • the skills learned in the tree.

After a reset, experience goes back to filling the normal bar. The master bar only moves again once you reach level 400 again.

Reset or Master?

At level 400 you choose:

  • Reset to earn stat points and climb again from level 1.
  • Stay at 400 and farm Master, point by point.

Both add up: the Master levels you make now stay with you through your next resets.
